What is it with the gardens, Scarlet?!

She led me to the wonderful world of writing.

I began writing and by the next week, I had written nine chapters.  I wrote day and night.  Of course the version I have now is completely different than what I wrote in that notebook.  The earlier version I had written took place in High School.

In that version, she found a door in the hallway.  She opened it and found a garden.  She found a group of women, sitting by the fountain.

And I can't remember what else happened.

Four years later, I changed High Schools and enrolled in a computer class.

I let Scarlet take me where she wanted to.

I had a schedule set up.  I would work on it at school and finish it at home.  Then I would edit it on the weekend.

I loved re-reading the novel.  I would find something that didn't flow right or didn't make sense.

I think I'm going to include the garden later on in the book.

Just to satisfy her <.<

"She" had a name and *Gasp!* a voice?!?!?!?!

The reason why she wouldn't leave my mind was how she looked.  She looked like she was deeply lost in her own thoughts.  And she was blissfully happy there.  For four months, I kept wondering what she was so happy about.  What she desired.  No answer.

And then when I purchased the "Love Metal" album by HIM, and the last song The Path is when I got the answer.  I was looking down on Scarlet in a private garden.  It was night.  She was surrounded by red roses.  It was as if no one could touch her with their baggage.  And I knew what she desired.  She wanted to be with someone she loved.  She wanted to be held in her garden.  She wanted to stroke a woman's hair and whisper sweet nothings.

I took off my headphones and then fell asleep.

The next day, I woke up and then the name Scarlet was in my head.

I tried to name her other things but they simply didn't stick well.  She was stubborn and her name was going to be Scarlet.  No ifs ands or buts!

Picking the last name was easy.  When I was little, I always wanted to last name one of my adopted daughters Dawson.  I got that name from Titanic.  And to me, Scarlet was like my daughter.  Well, she is my daughter.

On December, she had a voice.  And she would not shut the bloody hell up!!!

I decided to get myself several spiral notebooks and write down whatever she said.  The things she said were somehow important.  I felt like they were gonna lead me somewhere.

How it all started

It was sometime in August of 2008 that Scarlet Dawson appeared to me.

I was in therapy group and we had to do visualizing.  The lady put some sounds of the ocean.  I closed my eyes and then a woman I've never seen before appeared.

It was sunny outside.  Birds passed by her.  You can see the ocean behind her.  She looked down at the sand.  She looked happy.  She wasn't walking with purpose.  She was just...walking.

She was wearing:

This top
This skirt (with like slits on the sides/she was wearing knee high boots)

She looks exactly like this:

Her eyeshadow was dark.

The lady turned on the lights and then we resumed doing therapy...uh, things.

That same image kept appearing to me! Especially at night.
